SALERO
I don't remember exactly when or why I designed this salt shaker. I do remember that it all started by drilling small holes in a wooden spoon so that the salt could be sprinkled evenly. I have low blood pressure and am obsessed with good salt.
Before virtual images became the norm in project presentations, we used to make a lot of models in the studio. It was during this time that, together with a friend who used to help me, we decided to make a prototype of the salt shaker out of Porex.
When the prototype was finished, I was amused by the tension it created, and we ignored a small ball included in the initial proposal that gave it stability.
Finally, it works like a tentempie that remains stable without spilling the salt when we place the spoon in it.
